Use Case — Informational Notifications Only

All messages sent through this program are strictly informational and transactional. LandScout is a land acquisition and lease management CRM used by professional teams. SMS messages notify team members of activity within the platform that directly involves them. No promotional, marketing, or solicitation messages are ever sent.

Specific informational message types include:

Task assignment notifications — informing you when a task or parcel is assigned to you
@mention notifications — informing you when you are @mentioned in a project activity comment
Status change alerts — informing you when an owner or parcel status changes on a record you are assigned to
Project activity updates — other platform events directly relevant to your assigned work

Message Frequency

Message frequency varies based on project and team activity. You will only receive informational notifications for events that directly involve you. Messages are triggered by real-time activity within the LandScout platform — there is no fixed sending schedule and no recurring promotional messages.

How to Opt In

Opt-in is completed entirely within the LandScout application:

Log in at landscout.land
Click your name in the top-right corner → Account Settings
Enter your mobile phone number under SMS Notifications
Check "Enable SMS notifications" — the checkbox is unchecked by default; you must actively check it to give consent to receive informational notifications
Click Save Phone Settings

Consent is explicit, affirmative, and specific to informational platform notifications. No pre-checked boxes are used. Opting in is never a condition of access, use, or purchase.

How to Opt Out

Reply STOP to any message to unsubscribe immediately
Or uncheck Enable SMS notifications in your LandScout Account Settings and save

After opting out, no further messages will be sent unless you re-enable notifications.
